Incident Description:   I received a Fragrant Jewels Candle as a gift. The candle had been lit this morning for about an hour when my husband blew it out. A few moments later he went to put the lid on the candle and the top part of the candle exploded into pieces. The lid did not explode, it was the glass part that holds the candle that exploded. The lid he tried to put on the candle came with candle when it was new.

Incident Description:   I purchased a large jar candle from Yankee Candle in May 2015. I used the candle in my living room on my brand new coffee table with a table runner under the candle. I trimmed the wick and used the "safe candle" instructions suggested by Yankee. I was cleaning the next day and i was dusting my coffee table and tried to remove the table runner and the candle from the table and the runner had melted to my table. Incident Description:   A flared and candle burned out of control. The home owner moved the candle to her sink and attempted to extinguish the candle with water. Incident Description:   LANGLEY EMPIRE CANDLE EXPLODED AND THREW GLASS AND HOT WAX EVERYWHERE. THE CANDLE WAS PURCHASED AT KOHL'S LAST WEEK. IT WAS UNDAMAGED TO THE NAKED EYE AND I HAVE USED THESE CANDLES BEFORE. THE CANDLE IS FROM THE HOLIDAY MEMORIES COLLECTION, WHITE CHRISTMAS, 17 OUNCES IN A GLASS JAR. THE CANDLE SEEMED TO EXPLODE FROM THE TOP BASE MID WAY DOWN THE CONTAINER.

Business Comments:  The consumer neglected to mention her use history and has not contacted the manufacturer as of January 27, 2015. This particular jar is used in hundreds of thousands of candles every year and we have never heard of an "exploding candle" when the product is used properly.
