Incident Description:   The Worcester Fire Department Fire Investigation Unit responded to a structure fire that originated in a hoverboard. It was reported that the hoverboard was charging at the time of the fire. Two hoverboard chargers were found in the area of origin - neither was the same brand as the hoverboard.

Incident Description:   Hoverboard was charging and the lithium batteries overheated, exploded and caused a fire. Hoverboard was purchased new recently from Target. Hoverboard was on charge for approximately 3 hours. No know problems reported by property owners. Hoverboard caught fire and caused damage to the home.
